Lately I've been thinking a lot about current and past friendships. I love the Internet and especially Facebook. I have been able to reconnect with someone who was one of my best friends in high school. We hung out ALL the time and she had more of an impact on my life than she will ever know.
Most of my friends live far away. I still keep in contact with friends from Alaska and one of my BFFs now lives in Germany. I really miss having my friends live close by. I miss girlie shopping days, lunches at Applebees or Taco Bell. I miss going out for drinks or just getting our families together. The biggest thing I miss is Phebe and I sitting on the front steps drinking coffee, laughing and listening to the kids all play together inside.
While I don't really have anyone to have coffee with these days, I am blessed to have a great group of friends. Even if they all live in different states, they have always been there for me. Hopefully I have helped them too.
Now if I could only get some of them, or all, to move to Oregon:)
